Twisted Nylon or Braided Nylon Dock Rope: Braided is the stronger of the two.

Rope Length: Bow and stern line length should be 70% of the boat length.
Example: 25' boat = 17.5 or 18 feet.

When using a spring line to secure the boat to the dock, the length of the line should be equal to the length of the boat.
